• Basic Science: The applicant must be affiliated with a recognised academic institution, research institute, or hospital laboratory at the time the research was conducted.
• Medical Professional Category: The applicant should be a licensed medical/health professional or in accredited training (intern/resident/fellow/allied health) at the time of submission.
• Innovation Category: The applicant may be from a company, startup, or university tech transfer project; they must disclose employment, equity, advisory roles, sponsorships, and any relevant IP.

1. Submit an abstract through the conference submission system.
2. Select “Young Investigator Award” and choose one category (Basic Science / Medical Professional / Industry-Innovation).
3. Upload required supporting documents in PDF format:
   • Short CV (max 2 pages)
   • Proof of eligibility (Date of Birth)
   • Conflict of Interest (COI) declaration (required)

1. Eligibility
   • Career Stage: Typically defined as individuals who are 10 to 20 years post-completion of their highest degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent) or professional certification.
   • Academic/Professional Rank: Usually at the level of Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer, or Senior Consultant/Specialist.
   • Selection: Speakers are selected by the Scientific Committee based on their significant contributions to the field, high-impact publications, or leadership in clinical/innovation projects.
2. Presentation Objectives

   As a Mid-Career Investigator presentation should aim to:

   • Synthesize Knowledge: Provide a high-level overview of a specific niche, moving beyond a single study to show a "body of work."
   • Bridge the Gap: Connect basic science or innovation to clinical application (translational focus).
   • Future Directions: Offer a visionary perspective on where the field is heading over the next 5–10 years.
3. Technical Requirements
   • Duration: Typically 5 minutes for the presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q&A (Total 10 minutes).
   • Format: 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio (PowerPoint or Keynote).
   • Submission: Final slides must be uploaded to the Speaker Ready Room at least 4 hours before the session or via the online portal by 1 September 2026.
4. Content Guidelines

   To ensure a high-quality session, please include the following in your slide deck:

   • Slide 1: Title & Affiliation.
   • Slide 2: Conflict of Interest (COI) Disclosure. All financial interests, grants, or industry partnerships related to the topic must be disclosed.
   • Slide 3: Learning Objectives. State 2–3 key takeaways for the audience.
   • Body Slides: Focus on data-driven insights. Use high-resolution images and minimal text.
   • Conclusion: A summary slide that emphasises the "clinical/scientific impact" of the work discussed.
5. Mentorship & Leadership Component (Optional but Recommended)

   Mid-career speakers are often seen as role models. We encourage you to:

   • Briefly acknowledge the team/trainees who contributed to the work.
   • Participate in the "Meet the Experts" or "Networking Lunch" to engage with Young Investigators.

Peer Review: All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind-review process conducted by the iCLOCS Scientific Committee to ensure high academic and clinical standards.

Publication: Accepted abstracts will be published in the International Journal of Cardiology, providing global visibility for your research.

If the presenting author of an accepted abstract does not register online by the specified deadline, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.

Note: All participants are obliged to wear the name tag at all times. Access to the Congress venue/sessions will not be granted without the name tag.
